UPPSC PCS Recruitment 2024
UP PCS Notification 2024 has been published, and candidates can submit the online application by 2 February 2024. Candidates will be shortlisted based on the Preliminary Exam, Main Exam and Personality Test for various administrative positions. Candidates applying for this examination are also required to possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a university recognized by the state or equivalent.

Aspirants must submit their UPPSC Application Form 2024 carefully to be eligible for the UPPCS 2024 Exam. Fill out your application form by following the steps outlined below.

UPPSC PCS Selection Process 2024
The selection process of the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Service examination consists of the following three stages:
- Preliminary Examination
The preliminary exam will be objective in nature, including multiple-choice questions. There will be two papers worth 200 marks each.
- Mains Examination
Only such candidates will be eligible for the Main (written) examination who are declared successful in the Preliminary Examination. The nature of the main exam will be descriptive. In this phase, the candidates have to write answers/responses in answer sheets provided to them (pen and paper based exam).
Note:
Successful candidates must fill out another application form for the Main Examination, following the Commission’s instructions.
- Personality Test:
The Personality Test (Personality Test) will be the final round of the selection process. The candidates who clear the final phase of the examination will be appointed to the positions after all their documents have been verified. Following the conclusion of the Selection Process, the final merit list will be released.
UPPSC PCS 2024 Exam Pattern
The UPPSC Exam Pattern has changed since the UPPCS Prelims in 2018. The new UPPSC Exam Pattern, the optional paper has been revamped and two papers (paper 5 and paper 6) based on Uttar Pradesh Special Knowledge have been introduced.
Preliminary Examination
The Preliminary Examination, i.e. the first stage of the UPPSC exam, consists of two papers: Paper I (General Studies-I) and Paper II (General Studies-II or CSAT).
- The UPPSC PCS preliminary examination is conducted in offline mode, where candidates are required to fill the OMR sheets to answer any question.
- The exam will be of 400 marks and each paper carries a maximum of 200 marks.
- The duration of the examination is 120 minutes (2 hours).
- Both papers consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions.

For each incorrect answer given by the candidate, one-third (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty.

Note:
- No candidate shall be admitted to the examination unless he or she possesses the admit card issued by the Commission.
- If a candidate’s handwriting is difficult to read, marks may be deducted from the total.
- A candidate may answer question papers in English Roman Script, Hindi Devnagri Script, or Urdu Persian Script, but the language papers as a whole must be answered in any of the above scripts unless otherwise specified in the question paper.
- The question papers will be written in English (Roman Script) and Hindi (Devnagri Script).
- The standard of knowledge required of candidates in compulsory papers will be that of a young man with a Bachelor’s Degree from a university.
Personality Test (Viva-Voce)
The Personality Test will be the final stage of the selection process. It has a weightage of 100 marks. The test will cover topics of general interest while keeping academic interests in mind, as well as general awareness, intelligence, character, expression of power/personality, and general suitability for the service.

UPPSC PCS Admit Card 2024
The UPPCS Admit Card for separate examination dates will be generally available one week before the exam. Follow the steps outlined below to obtain your UPPCS admit card once available.
- To obtain the UPPCS 2024 Admit Card, visit the commission’s official website.
- Click on the admit card link given under the Candidate’s Help Desk section.
- Login to the portal with your registration number and password/date of birth.

- Download and take a printout of the admit card for future reference.
Note:
The UPPCS Admit Card will include your name, exam centre, photograph, and signature. Print multiple copies of the UPPCS Admit card to avoid any last-minute hassles. UPPSC PCS Salary and Allowance 2024
Candidates selected for the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services Examination will be paid in the range of Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs 4600/- (except Naib Tehsildar, whose grade pay is Rs. 4200/-) to Rs. 15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs 5400/-.
